In the next couple of months we’ll be investigating repair options and fundraising for repairs/getting a new machine if it can’t be fixed. Please let us know if you can help – workshop@rizzeria.com.
We have moved!

Also we’ll be taking a break for open print studio over the holidays and will reopen in late January / early February. Keep your eye out for workshops in the next few weeks, though. We will run a couple if there’s interest.

We had a super massive weekend with fairs on friday, saturday and sunday. (!!!)(OMG) This was the annual MCA zine fair, with Raf answering questions and manning the stall.

residency week 1

we’ve been in residence at The Papermill Angel Place for just over a week now, and we’re settling in well.
our first workshop – posters – went well, and this weekend we started our 4 week ‘beyond the basics’ course (which is sold out!). we’ve still got some spaces in our further three workshops – zine making, screen printing and postcards/stationery making.
and we’re taking open print bookings on thursdays and fridays while we’re at angel place – use our regular online booking system.

Staying on at the Paper Mill

at theĀ moment we’reĀ open 12-6pm saturdays for open print studio bookings, and we’re also planning another workshop series.

The Rizzeria allows users produce temporary “silk-screens” for a few dollars, a ludicrously cheap method of screen printing. This workshop will explore screen printing on fabric and paper and participants will take home tea towels or patches of up to three colours.

All materials included, bring along your ideas and/or artwork to work with.

This course will take participants from the basics of using the Rizzeria to advanced material such as trouble-shooting. It will allow time for developing and refining an in-depth printing project.

Vicky, Bruce and Paul came in and made a 3 colour poster. The image of the boy on rollerskates is Bruce as a lil’ kid. He is skating amongst a galaxy : region > unknown.
